Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tony is such a ham! He loves to beg for attention and is really talkative. His ear is tipped because he was once a semiferal who enjoyed being around humans. When he was trapped and fixed, he got an eartip clipped off as a signal to people that he had gone through the system, but it didn't phase him. He started spending more time at one house until he became a friendly pet. For whatever reason, he was brought to us and is waiting to find his next home. One thing to note is that he is FIV positive. For aggressive feral cats, it usually means they are put down, but tony is so wonderful we didn't think of doing that to him! As long as he is kept by himself or housed with other FIV positive cats, he should be fine, and his diagnosis should not deter people from considering him as their next playful fluffball. He really has a fun personality.
All animal adoptions are typically $80. For puppies and kittens under the age of 6 months, adoptions are $100. For dogs, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, heartworm testing and heartworm preventative. For cats, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter and feline AIDS/leukemia testing. All cats and kittens adopted from the Germantown Animal Shelter are not allowed to be declawed. Any questions should be directed to animalshelter@germantown-tn.gov. Or by calling the shelter at 901-757-7358.
