My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Geri!

Geri is a delightful one-of-a-kind calico with a mix of playful energy and calm charm. She’s curious and loves exploring every corner of her space, chasing toys, batting shiny objects, and soaking up sunbeams by the windows. Whether she’s playfully rolling around with a ball or lounging on the couch, Geri is a joy to watch.

She enjoys cuddles on her own terms and is happy to be picked up, but doesn’t require constant attention—perfect for someone who wants a companion who’s affectionate yet independent. Geri has a quirky side too: she’s a little scared of moving alpaca slippers, possibly thinking the stuffed animals are real!

Geri has not met other cats, dogs, or children, so introductions would need to be slow and patient. She’s fully litter trained, loves couches and beds, and her mix of active and chill moments makes her adaptable to many household types.

She does have a minor allergy/asthma issue, but it’s manageable and hasn’t slowed her down—she’s still her playful, loving self. Geri would thrive in a home that can give her gentle attention, toys to explore, and plenty of sunny spots for relaxing.

If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, curious, and talkative companion who can keep you entertained and melt your heart, Geri might be your perfect match!

I am fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for my age.

More about this rescue

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
