Emelio is a loving cat that is initially shy and takes a little while to warm up to new people/situations, but loses his inhibitions and becomes your best friend when you play with him with a wand toy. He's quick to purr and loves full-body rubs. He is a lap cat in the evenings when his people are sitting on the couch. During the day he likes looking out the window or playing with toy balls or small stuffed toys. He is also a little bit mischievous and will find unconventional things to play with, like hair elastics or a mitten.

Emelio is shy and might hide when strangers are in the house, but once he gets to know you he shows you his loving/gentle nature and shares his affection. He gets the evening zoomies and makes his foster family laugh when he goes racing around. He shows a lot of curiosity around human food and is interested in smelling what you're eating, but he doesn't pester you or beg for food. He is not a noisy cat, but he will chirp at you to communicate (usually to ask you when you plan to feed him next).

Emelio was rescued from an overcrowded home. It's unclear whether he would get along well with cats due of his familiarity with so many of them, or whether this has caused him to be anxious around other cats.

He is on an exclusive urinary food.

Emelio is a low-maintenance cat. He is happy for attention when you give it to him, but is not attention-seeking if you're busy or away at work. He's a curious cat that likes to explore cupboards or spaces under beds. He is a fun and easy cat to have around and deserves a loving home that is calm so that his confidence can blossom.
