---
- Goofy pup who loves toys and being silly; gets to zoomies often
- Will love a family that can help him use his brain and body a lot and use up his energy
- Loves to learn and has great focus - especially if you have treats!
- Does great on a leash and already knows sit
- Sleeps in bed with his people at night with his belly exposed; likes to be touching his people whenever possible
- Would LOVE a family that is home most of the day and can spend tons of time with him; can get nervous when his people are away
- Foster family says he is crate trained and is gradually being allowed to roam the house when home alone
- A little nervous in the car
- Foster family says he appears to be potty trained and has not had any accidents in their home
- Sometimes isn't sure how to act around other dogs and can be socially awkward, but enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style and can be a bouncy, goofy player (dog intro recommended)
- Has played well with the other dogs in his foster home and is good at backing off when his play gets too rowdy for them
- May do well with a confident dog friend in his new home to help show him the ropes
- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him, but has done well with older kids in his foster home and has been extra cuddly with them
This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
