My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Buffy!

Buffy might be shy at first, but she’s starting to let her personality shine through, especially around breakfast time! This gentle girl has been opening up more and more since she arrived, and while she still takes her time trusting people, she’s found her voice when it matters most.

Every morning, Buffy will meow softly (but very clearly!) to remind us that her bowl is empty and it definitely needs to be filled right now. Once her tummy’s happy, she loves to curl up in a cozy spot and nap.

She’s still learning that humans can be trusted, and she’s doing such a wonderful job. What Buffy would love most is a calm, patient home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace and, of course, one that never forgets breakfast. 💕

Their adoption fee is $250. The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, spay, vaccines, fecal test, and preventatives up to the point of adoption.

More about this shelter

Judy’s Forgotten Jewells is a licensed Non-Profit No Kill Animal Rescue Group. It was founded by Patricia L. Smith DVM in honor of her mother’s childhood dog “Judy Dog” and Jewell Animal Hospital. Dr. Smith believes that ALL animals deserve quality pet care and a loving home. Our rescue is supported by volunteers, the hospital staff, and pet passionate people in our community who donate money and supplies. Our goal is to help the pets who are at risk of being euthanized, pregnant and or homeless.
