Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Usher is a 3-month-old kitten who, along with his siblings, spent his earliest days sheltered with their feral outdoor mom. As a result, Usher is still learning to trust people and discovering the joy that comes with human companionship. Although he has a strong independent streak, with gentle patience, Usher’s true personality starts to shine. Once his initial hissing fades, if you pick him up, he will begin to purr—though he tries his best to hide just how much he enjoys being petted.
With time and kindness, Usher becomes more playful and curious. He especially loves exploring cozy corners and chasing after feather toys, often darting around with impressive agility. Each day, Usher grows a little braver and more affectionate, revealing glimpses of the loving companion he could become. All he needs is a patient family willing to give him the chance to earn their trust and show his sweet nature.
If you’re looking for a gentle, independent kitten who just needs a bit of encouragement to blossom, Usher might be the perfect addition to your home. With continued love and support, he’s sure to greet you with soft purrs and gentle nudges, making every moment together special.

More about this rescue
We are dog and cat lovers who want to help decrease the number of healthy pets being euthanized. We do this through adopting pets to caring homes and by spaying and neutering every pet before it is adopted out. We operate a Thrift store named Critters, which is volunteer run with all money brought goes to support our "No Kill" rescue. Critters is located on the same property as our shelter. We take in homeless animals because they are in need and are unable to help themselves.
