My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tom and Jerry are two 8-month-old bonded boys who are ready to bring joy, snuggles, and a dash of feline charm to a lucky family.
Tom, the gentle giant-in-training, has paws so big they practically deserve their own zip code. He’s a mellow cuddle who’s growing into a big-hearted lover boy. Jerry, a shade darker and just as sweet, is the curious explorer of the duo, always ready to investigate a new toy or perch by the window to watch the world go by.
These two are the perfect pair: playful but polite, affectionate but independent enough to let you sip your coffee in peace. They’ve been neutered, dewormed, and vaccinated for rabies (as of 9/7), and only need their microchips and FVRCP vaccines to be fully set for their next chapter. We will take care of those. They’re TNR graduates, proud of their street-smart roots but ready for indoor luxury.
Tom and Jerry are great with other cats and adult humans, but prefer a home without dogs or small children. They’re looking for a calm, loving environment where they can stay together and thrive.
If you’ve got room in your heart (and on your couch) for two charming tabby boys, do fill out an application. Copy and paste this into your browser to watch a video of these two:

More about this rescue

We founded the Duette Animal Rescue Team (DART) in 2020 in Manatee County. DART is a volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing former domestic and exotic pets such as prosimians and cats with behavioral challenges. We learned about the plight for exotic pets held in captivity and lack of understanding of the care they need as wild animals. We support causes that advocate for the conservation of these species in the wild in their native countries. By working with a network of zo's, private owners, zoo staff volunteer advocates, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, trainers, and shelters,
DART strives to rescue animals and provide these animals with behavioral rehabilitation and care. We catch cats to assist with the management of stray cat overpopulation in the community. We rehabilitate the cats so that we can put them up for adoption and have a better quality of life. For example, cat litter box training and socialization.
