Portebello is a beautiful female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on August 7, 2025 with her two siblings (Morel and Oyster) by a Good Samaritan who had found them in Marietta Ohio. The kittens were estimated to have been 8-weeks old at that time. Sadly their little brother (Oyster) did not survive and passed away on September 5, 2025.
This little dollbaby has a brown tabby short smooth coat with subtle orange highlights, a long ringed tail, and an adorable pale brown kitten face with soft innocent golden eyes, a dusting of white on her muzzle, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers.
Portebello was given vaccinations and wormer on August 27, 2025. She was given booster vaccines on September 12th and September 29th.
These 'big girl' glamour photos of Portebello were taken on October 14, 2025 when this sweet young lady showed off her delightful personality. Portebello is quite the charmer and quickly melted our photographer's heart.
Portebello is currently sharing a double-wide cage in The Jungle Room (one of our adoptable cat rooms) with her new best friends (Enoki and Sir Topham) who are also brown tabby kitties .. And they dearly love each other.
Portebello's biological sister (Morel) is currently sharing a large cat tower with her new best friends (another litter of 'Mushroom Babies' who also came to our shelter on August 7th).
Portebello will be spayed in the near future (tentatively in November 2025) and will soon be ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
