Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Morel is a cute female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on August 7, 2025 with her two siblings (Oyster and Portebello) by a Good Samaritan who had found them in Marietta Ohio. The kittens were estimated to have been 8-weeks old at that time. Sadly their little brother (Oyster) did not survive and passed away on September 5, 2025.
This little sweetheart has a brown tabby short smooth coat with subtle orange highlights, a long ringed tail, and an adorable kitten face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers.
Morel was given vaccinations and wormer on August 27, 2025. She was given booster vaccines on September 12th and September 29th.
These photos of Morel were taken on October 14, 2025 when she explored new territory in our 'studio'. Morel was too busy enjoying her out-of-tower time and taking advantage of the chance for some physical exercise to pose for very many serious still-life pictures .. And we didn't want to interfere with her 15-minutes of pleasure.
Morel is currently sharing a large cat tower with her new best friends (Lion's Mane and Matake) (siblings with another litter of 'Mushroom Kittens') who also came to our shelter on August 7th).
Morel's biological sister (Portebello) is currently sharing a double-wide cage in The Jungle Room (one of our adoptable cat rooms) with her new best friends (Enoki and Sir Topham) who are also brown tabby kitties.
Morel will be spayed in the near future (tentatively in November 2025) and will soon be ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
Morel was spayed on November 3, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 3.14 lbs that day.
Morel was adopted on November 23, 2025.
