My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, curious, and playful MILLIE is a gorgeous, sleek gray and white, female tuxedo teenager kitten. She loves playing with wand toys, strings, small puffballs and is already an avid bird and squirrel watcher. Millie explores both high and low and would love to have a home with some tall cat trees to perch and scratch on. She is always ready to play tag or wrestle with her brother OAKLEY. When she’s exhausted from all the fun, Millie will happily snuggle up and purr with you. Millie, Oakley, their mom and littermates were rescued from a dangerous industrial area of Springfield. Millie is a little shy and cautious at first, but once she feels safe, she is a darling love bug who will happily zoom about your home and play with everyone that will join in. As a young cat Millie will need a buddy to wrestle, romp and focus her energy on. She loves her brother Oakley, and they make a great pair! If you are looking for a sweet, active young cat, come meet Millie. You'll fall in love!

Millie has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Millie in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $155 ($280 for a pair) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID 2505-C0156

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
