My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable duo were found in a very remote area in Arkansas. Unbelievably shy, they have gradually started coming out of their shell, and their personalities are beginning to blossom. Both are quick to smile and love the attention they are getting.

They are very affectionate and love belly rubs, squeaky toys, and chasing the other pups around the yard. Although they can be active, they also love to lay on the couch and watch television. They are not hyperactive at all.
Both boys are crate trained and potty trained. They are young, so they still want to get into mischief such as chewing up socks. So before submitting an application, be aware that they are young and will need more training.

Neither one has a dominant personality, they're both very low-key and get along great with other dogs and together. Both do very well while taking a bath. Benji is 2 pounds lighter than his brother Andy. They both weigh under 30 pounds and probably will not grow to be much larger.

As much as we would love to see them go together as a bonnet pair, we realize that may not be possible. So we are willing to adopt them out separately. If someone would like to adopt them as a bonded pair, we will be happy to take off $150 off of the adoption fee.

Currently they're being fostered on a farm in Arkansas. Transport is available to New England. Their adoption fee is $450 each, which includes the cost of transport.

Andy and Benji are both heartworm negative, up-to-date on all core vaccinations, and microchipped. Both are afraid of kids and cats.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We accept applications on the desired pet, then conduct a thorough screening process that includes talking to your vet and three personal references.

Once the application has been approved, then the dog is fully vetted, and registered with the State of Arkansas with a health certificate prior to boarding any transport. We do vaccinate and spay/neuter our animals age appropriately.

Please check our website at www.arkanpaws.org for complete information about our adoption process.

Go meet their pets

We're a foster based organization based in Conway, Arkansas. If you're in the immediate area, you are welcome to schedule a Meet & Greet with any of our dogs or cats - please call or email us at least a day in advance. If you are out of the area, please feel free to request a video and additional photos, as well as an extensive conversation with the foster parent who is sheltering your potential new fur friend.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group of like-minded women who are passionate about helping homeless pets. This involves rescue and rehabilitation, then helping find them loving "fur-ever" homes. We're located in central Arkansas, however transport is available to most states.
