Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ruby! Beautiful, bright, and full of playful energy, Ruby is a kitten who’s still discovering the world—and herself! She’s a bundle of fun, always ready to chase a toy or pounce on a new adventure. But beneath all that sparkle, Ruby has a tender side too. She’s still figuring it all out and would love a patient, loving person to help her grow into the confident, wonderful cat she’s meant to be. With a little guidance and a lot of love, Ruby will shine as the gem she truly is.

The Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) is one of southeast Michigan’s most established animal shelters, serving the community since 1953. Our history and experience combined with constant evaluation of trends in animal welfare and sheltering have made us a necessary and respected asset within our community. As, “A Different Breed of Shelter” we challenge the stereotypes of traditional animal shelters and believe that the, “Quality of the Wait,” can make all the difference in the future of an animal.
Our Mission
The Mission of the Michigan Animal Rescue League is to provide the highest quality of life to dogs and cats through rescue, medical care, socialization and behavioral support, short- and long-term sanctuary, adoption, and community education and outreach.
