Currently Living at: Foster home in the DC area!
I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Waverly, and I am a sweet kitty! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be myself.
What My Foster Says About Me: Waverly started out shy but quickly turned into the life of the party! She’s playful, curious, and loves a good round of zoomies. You’ll often find her zipping around the room before flopping down for some well-deserved belly rubs (her favorite!) and a cozy nap on the couch. She’s still getting used to being held, but she’s incredibly gentle — never a hiss or a scratch, just a little wiggle. Fearless and full of spunk, Waverly isn’t afraid to leap high and far, and she makes the cutest little “squeak” when she lands! She adores her foster parents and loves to snuggle up with her feline roommate. When she first arrives in a new home, she might meow a bit if she’s separated — she just has major FOMO and wants to be part of the action! Sweet, social, and endlessly entertaining, Waverly is ready to fill her forever home with love, laughter, and lots of zoomies.
What the Shelter Says About Me: Waverly is a well-dressed tuxedo girl that has shown tremendous progress in the past few weeks and thinks she is ready for the next step. (Her sisters have already moved up to LDAR. She is one of 3 siblings that were born at the shelter and Waverly initially was very trusting, outgoing and affectionate. But she apparently suffered a setback (reasons unknown) while living in her kitty condo and became less interested in interacting with the volunteers.) She has always been social with her siblings and has now moved into a playroom with a group of young cats and remains very comfortable with the residents and more comfortable with volunteers. Waverly is very approachable and will allow being petted, picked up and cuddled on her terms. (She is a cat. :) ) At no point in her shelter stay has she been aggressive and she has always been very keen on accepting treats and anything to do with food. She is gentle with people although can still be reserved at times... but is mostly very receptive to love from anyone.
