Pumpkin – Sweet, Curious, and Full of Personality!

Meet Pumpkin, a beautiful female Syrian hamster with a big heart and even bigger personality! She’s curious, loves to explore, and enjoys rearranging her bedding to make the perfect cozy nest. Pumpkin is an independent girl who appreciates a calm environment and gentle interaction once she feels comfortable.

Pumpkin is looking for an experienced owner who understands the unique needs of Syrian hamsters. She requires a large, safe enclosure (minimum 600 sq. inches of unbroken floor space) with a solid wheel, plenty of enrichment, and proper bedding for burrowing. Plastic bins will not be approved for female syrian hamsters.

Potential adopters will need to show proof of a proper habitat setup before adoption. Pumpkin deserves a loving home where she can thrive and be treated like the tiny queen she is!

Nocturnal and crepuscular: This hamster is most active during the evening and early morning hours, making it a great companion for those who are awake during those times.

Very active: Expect your new friend to be highly energetic and playful, especially during its peak activity periods. A hamster wheel, tunnels, and toys will keep it entertained and help it burn off energy.

Experienced handler: Due to its energetic nature and occasional nipping, this hamster would thrive in a home with an experienced pet owner who understands its behavior and needs.

Adoption Policy: Our cats and kittens are up to date on vaccines, dewormed, Microchips, Felv/Fiv negative, spayed and/or neutered, if of age. Application process, veterinary references required, Kittens and Adults are $100.00, pair of cats or kittens $185.00. These fees include Microchips which are prepaid registration.

By submitting the application , you are verifying that the information that you have provided in this application is true and correct. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason without notification. Potential adopters will be contacted within 7 days of submission. Thank you for your interest in our cats!

More about this rescue

Northeast Animal Rescue is a local group in Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, dedicated to saving homeless, unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that depends solely on donations which are tax deductible.

Our mission is to focus on having feral (wild) cats spayed and neutered to decrease overpopulation. We are very small and do not have a shelter but our cats and kittens are placed in foster homes. In the process of helping ferals, we come across cats and kittens who are friendly and placeable. These cats and kittens receive medical attention with the help of local veterinarians, and when ready, they are put up for adoption.

We also do some small animal adoptions.
