My previous family had to surrender me when they were evicted, so now I'm looking for a new home to call my own. Even with all the changes, I try to keep my tail wagging and my smile bright! I love people and can make friends pretty easily. I've lived with other dogs before and got along great with them! Here at the shelter, though, I can get a little amped up around all the noise and excitement - there's just so much going on! I could definitely live with another dog again in the future, as long as we take our time with introductions and it feels like the right fit for both of us. I'd do best in a home with respectful children who understand that sometimes I might need a little space to relax after all that playtime. HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, the animal’s name can be put on an application. Animals that are applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the adoption application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
It is the potential adopter's responsibility to communicate with their landlord to contact HSSC for approval or to provide documentation stating permission within 24 hours of application submission.
It is also the potential adopter's responsibility to produce a current rabies certificate for their current dog(s) to conduct a dog to dog meet and greet within 24 hours of application submission.
