(Yes, I know I look tough… but I promise I’m just a big softie)
Hi friends! I’m Nitro, a 3-year-old German Shepherd girl looking for my forever home. I may look intimidating at first glance, but don’t let that fool you — I am a total love bug who lives for cuddles, gentle affection, and being close to my people.
I’m super well trained and very polite. I know my commands like sit, down, and stay, I walk beautifully on a leash, and I’m potty trained, house trained, and crate trained (though I’m still working on feeling fully comfy when left alone). I even wait for permission before hopping on the furniture — manners matter to me.
I can be a little nervous in busy environments or around big groups of people, so I’d do best in a calm, quieter home. A small family (1–3 people) would be perfect for me, especially if someone is home most of the day to keep me company. I don’t love being alone for long periods — I just really love having my humans nearby.
I get along great with other dogs, both big and small, and I’d love a doggy sibling to bond with. I also do well with kids, both younger and older. As long as the vibe is calm, I’m happy.
A home with a yard (fenced or not) would make me very happy. I enjoy open spaces and don’t love small, cramped areas. I’ll also need a family who understands that I may need a little time to decompress and feel safe in a new environment. Patience and love go a long way with me.
A word from my foster:
I’m a bit of a picky eater and I can’t have chicken. I may be shy at first, but once I trust you, I am loyal, loving, and incredibly sweet. I truly just want to cuddle up and be your best friend.

Adoption FEE: $450 which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals.

All Dogs / Puppies / Cats / Kittens are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heart worm prevention, and are microchipped prior to adoption. If you are meeting a puppy or kitten that is not ready for adoption there may be a waiting period until they are fully ready to go home.
Adoption fee - Along with the individual animals vetting and daily care costs, the adoption fee helps Mercy Full Project cover additional vet bills, maintain their facility, and cover the cost of their operations in order to rescue more animals in need.
**Our companions MUST live in your home as part of your family.
