My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Violet came to us under heartbreaking circumstances after her beloved owner passed away. At just over 10 years old, this beautiful shorthair torbie-and-white girl suddenly lost everything she knew - and the shelter environment was simply not where she could thrive.

At first, Violet's grief and stress showed as withdrawal and fear. Being confined to a kennel took a toll on her, and she became overwhelmed in ways that didn't reflect who she truly is. Thankfully, we were able to move her into a foster home - and in less than 24 hours, Violet showed us her real self.

Once out of the shelter, Violet blossomed. She no longer hides and instead seeks out affection with gentle headbutts and soft purrs. She happily accepts pets - even on her feet, belly, and ears - and clearly enjoys calm, loving attention. She's done wonderfully with her foster's children and has shown herself to be a sweet, tolerant, affectionate companion.

Violet simply needed a home. Now that she has a taste of peace and stability, it's clear how deeply loving and gentle she truly is.

Violet is looking for a quiet, understanding home where she can continue to feel safe, cherished, and adored. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate senior cat who just wants to love and be loved again, Violet may be the perfect match.
