My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB: 08/03/24

Luna arrived in GRASP care very young and very pregnant. In June 2025 she gave birth to eight kittens, all of whom have found their forever homes.

Luna is fit and trim (we would love to know how she retained her figure after childbirth). But don’t let her physique fool you, she is full of personality. She is inquisitive and playful. She seeks attention from her foster humans and is growing into a lapcat, though she prefers to not be suddenly picked up or grabbed.

Luna was initially skittish of the slightly territorial resident cat. But Luna has found her way, claiming spaces as her own and defending her meals. Luna seems nonplussed by her fellow foster kitty. Luna would do well as a solo kitty or with other calm cats. She has not, to our knowledge, been exposed to dogs.

She likes to scratch on horizontal surfaces rather than vertical. Fortunately, she has been learning to use the horizontal scratch pad.

Don’t pass this girl off as just another black kitty. Her fur is shiny and her eyes a gorgeous green. She is beautiful in both body and spirit - deserving of a great forever home!

This cat has been combo-tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, received all age-appropriate vaccinations and is altered.

More about this rescue

G.R.A.S.P. stands for Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets. GRASP's goal is to give animals, primarily those picked up by Greece Animal Control, a second chance for a safe, happy, and healthy life. Before G.R.A.S.P., Inc. was formed, animals that were not claimed by their owners were routinely euthanized. We also strive to educate the public on the benefits of spay/neuter and the need to tag their pets at all times. G.R.A.S.P., Inc. is a non-profit organization and is completely dependent upon donations from the public.
