Gentle sweetheart, very smart, loves people and dogs! Ziggy is obedient and eager to please. He appears to be fully grown and has blossomed beautifully in his foster home. He is great on leash and LOVES to play with other friendly, active dogs.
Ziggy's build is more compact than a typical Labrador Retriever, and lighter on his feet. His fur is silky smooth and easy to brush. He is a quick learner, VERY gentle, and full of fun. Ziggy has the sweetest disposition! Although he enjoys standing up on his hind legs, he is usually very good about keeping four paws on the floor. Ziggy is pure joy, a kind-hearted dog who is happy and very grateful to be in a foster home.
Ziggy wants to please! He thrives on attention and is food-motivated. He sometimes "talks" when he's excited, and alerts to a knock at the door, but he is not an incessant barker. Ziggy absolutely absolutely loves his foster sisters, who are great playmates. He rests peacefully when it is naptime and enjoys chew toys.
Ziggy needs an attached, private yard and at least one friendly, playful dog who weighs 40+ lbs will help him keep engaged and fit. He would like active kids but can easily do "dog playtime" when they are at school. Ziggy walks like a bit like a lion, runs fast, and sometimes stands upright like a bear. He is not reactive to dogs or humans, regardless of their size. He has lovely manners!
Ziggy will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements.
