My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nugget – The Life of the Party and the Ultimate Adventure Buddy! He weighs approx 60 lbs and is one and a half year old.

If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who’s always up for a car ride, a game of tug-of-war, or just being your shadow through every adventure, Nugget is your guy! This handsome  Terrier is full of life, love, and tail wags — his energy and enthusiasm are contagious.  Nugget is happiest when he’s with his favorite people. Whether you’re heading out for a drive or hanging out at home, he’ll be right there by your side, making sure you never feel alone. He’s smart, strong, and ready to give his whole heart to the person who gives him a chance.

Because Nugget has so much love to give, he does best as the only pet in the home where he can be the center of attention. He would also thrive in a home without small children, simply because he’s still learning to manage his excitement and energy. If you’re someone who appreciates a loyal companion who will love you unconditionally and keep life exciting, Nugget is waiting to meet you. Come see why everyone who meets him can’t help but smile!

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.
