My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***Currently in Montreal!!!

Stella

8 months | 5.9kg | Spayed female | Mixed breed | Ivory coat

Stella came to the shelter together with Pansy (who has been adopted in Vancouver) and is believed to be one of her puppies.

She may be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t last long. She quickly warms up to people and loves gentle affection. Once she feels comfortable, she’ll nudge your hand with her paw asking for more pets She even likes being held and sometimes asks to be picked up herself! When she trusts you, she’ll roll over to show her belly — her way of saying “I love you!”

With other dogs:

She gets along well with dogs of all sizes. She’s kind and playful, especially with her favorite friends. If a dog is too big or approaches too fast, she may bark a little to set her boundaries — but she’s not aggressive. Despite her small size, she has quiet confidence and knows how to hold her ground.

With cats:

She shows no particular interest in cats.

Energy level:

She has a calm, low energy level. A short walk or bit of playtime is enough for her to be happy resting quietly at home.

Leash walk:

In busy places she can freeze up a little, but in quiet areas she walks beautifully once she feels safe with her person.

Other notes:

Stella doesn’t guard food and isn’t particularly food motivated. She rarely barks and adjusts quickly to new environments. She’s currently both pee-pad and outdoor potty trained, though she prefers going outside when possible.

Stella is a gentle, affectionate, and calm young girl who will blossom beautifully in a patient, loving home.

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.
