Scratchy showed up at sitting on the sidewalk by a duplex on the Near Eastside in May of 2025. She was immediately very affectionate to us and keeps coming back for play and care. She is currently in foster care but would love a forever home!
Scratchy was given her name because she has a raspy or "scratchy" meow. She is very friendly, playful, and engaging. She’s younger at 2 years of age so she still goes kitten mode on occasion. Scratchy loves playing with paper wads and springs and will even ask for belly pets on occasion!
Scratchy deserves a life indoors, as she is currently recovering from some type of incident where she ended up with a broken pelvic bone and bruised up. After her injury she favors one leg a bit more, but is more affectionate now than ever.

We do not do same-day adoptions, so the day that you come and meet the cat will not be the same day you take the cat home. We only do this to make sure decisions are thought through and our cats find their truly forever home!
