My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adoption fee is negotiable and something we want to do to avoid uncommitted adopters while we get to know you. Kuma is an 8 year old, black and tan, pure breed shiba inu purchased from a breeder of merit here in Massachusetts.
Kuma is a bit of an odd duck and needs a very patient, loving, and understanding home. He exhibits a lot of the aloof shiba inu traits and is definitely a bit of a nervous boy. While he can be very affectionate in the right circumstances, he is a bit of a loner who spends a lot of time in his safe spaces. Kuma has always been this way and its apart of his core personality. Even as a few week old puppy, he always was very cautious and nervous and a bit reclusive. He definitely needs someone with tons of love and understanding who is okay with a dog who may not always be in the mood for affection. Kuma tends to connect strongly with very calm and gentle people. He picks up on household stress very easily which can make him even more timid and shy.
