My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🎤 Meet Dino — Our Vegas Crooner with a Heart of Gold 🎵

You could say Dino’s story began with a song — a soft, raspy meow that sounds like an old Vegas crooner calling for help. And that’s just what he was doing when he appeared on a neighbor’s doorstep one September evening: hungry, weak, and with an injured paw.

Thankfully, kindhearted neighbors stepped in right away. They brought Dino to the vet, where his paw was treated, he was given medication, and it was discovered he had a microchip. Two owners were listed… but neither came forward. After weeks of waiting, it was clear that Dino had been abandoned — but he never let that dim his spirit or his voice.

Now healed, this 1–2-year-old charmer has blossomed into the sweetest, most affectionate boy. Dino (also affectionately known as Aldino or Aldo) loves attention, cozy naps, and anyone who’s willing to give him love. He’s a mellow, gentle cat with a soulful gaze — and yes, a meow that’ll melt your heart.

Dino did test positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but don’t let that scare you. Cats with FIV can live long, happy, healthy lives — especially when kept indoors and cared for with love. Dino would thrive either as a solo cat or in a home with other feline friends — and yes, he can live comfortably with FIV- cats, too!

After everything he’s been through, this sweet boy deserves a forever home where he’ll never be left behind again — just adored for the loving crooner he is. 💖

🐾 Available now for adoption through Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions in Las Vegas.
Come meet Dino and see why this gentle soul has everyone at Homeward Bound swooning.

P.S. FIV is no longer the "scary illness" that is once was. In fact, FIV+ cats can easily live with FIV- cats! See more at the link below!

More about this shelter

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cats and people in our community. We provide counseling, information, and resources to empower people to support their cats and others in the community. If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of attention and care for cats in our adoption program and provide a modern, free-roaming adoption center to minimize stress, serve the individual needs of each cat, and set up both cats and adopters for success.
