Meet Casey Mumu — a handsome, sensitive soul who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place 💕. Found as a stray, Casey Mumu is looking for a calm, patient adopter who can help him build confidence at his own pace 🕊️.

He feels most comfortable in quiet environments without too much commotion, and will thrive best in an adult-only home where he can settle in slowly and be himself. When feeling uncertain, he seeks the comfort of a cozy cubby to feel safe. While he may be wary and reserved at first, with time and kindness he begins to show his softer side — even leaning into gentle pets and closing his eyes in contentment once he starts to relax 😌💞.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
