My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name, age: Bentley, 3 years

Likes: Head scratches, pets, treats, playing with toys

Dislikes: Sudden movements

What would be the ideal home? A quiet home with someone who is patient and can give him loads of attention based on what he responds well to – likely no children or other pets due to their unpredictability but could warm up to them.

Good with other cats? Unknown

Good with dogs? Unknown

Good with children? Unknown

Personality: loving, independent, social at night

How long will it take to settle into a new environment? He is pretty slow to trust, but if you approach him with treats or toys once you pet him he is super cuddly and social you just need to repeat the process every time you approach him!

Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? He gets nervous/feels threatened if you stand over him so we’ve found scooting towards him works best! He might hiss while you are moving around (this seems to be out of habit not anger/fear) but once you’re next to him he loves cuddles and will seek them out.
