Meet Clover, a tenderhearted little daydream who wants nothing more than to curl up beside someone and love them gently for the rest of time.
Clover is the very definition of a lover. She leans in for quiet hugs, melts into couch snuggles, and carries herself with the soft, thoughtful presence of someone who would absolutely drink tea and read poetry if she had thumbs and if she knew how to read. She is kind, affectionate, and wonderfully patient. Staff can easily imagine her as a child’s gentle companion, a snuggle buddy during movie nights, or the designated “keeper of secrets and crumbs.”
Clover enjoyed every moment of greeting new people at the Animal Rescue Festival this year. She soaked up attention from visitors of all ages, wagged hello to other dogs, and proved she is just as lovely in a crowd as she is in a quiet living room. She travels beautifully too, making her an excellent little adventure companion. Car ride? She’s already in the backseat, ready to go.
She is currently receiving treatment for heartworm, and she is handling her activity restrictions with the grace of a dog who understands that sometimes life calls for more cuddles than zoomies. She is soaking up the extra care, enjoying soft blankets, and saving her celebratory sprinting for later.
If you’re looking for a gentle, soulful companion who will adore your family with her whole heart, Clover is ready to meet you. Come visit her at the Fredericksburg SPCA and let this sweet, poetic girl bring a little extra warmth to your world.
