Effie is a sweet independent 13 year old mutt who still has a puppy face! Once an experienced hiker, she can now only do a gentle walk around the block due to arthritis. Her favorite thing to do is patrol the yard and (slowly) chase the critters around. She’s not much of a barker and likes to nap inside and outside the house. She is generally low maintenance, but she has developed an anxiety to new environments that leads to an upset stomach. This has been hard for us because we travel a lot, and I would love to find a homebody to care for her. She gets along with all humans and most other pets, but being an independent creature she doesn’t like to play much with others. She likes to do her own thing, but she’ll never turn down pets. She loves her dog door that lets her come and go! She also loves to spend her time gnawing on a big bone!
