Bear is a large hunk that just arrived at NHS as a transfer from another shelter in Florida. He is reported to have lived with other dogs and young children. Bear is also reportedly housebroken. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and ready for his new family today!

People can visit our adoptable pets at our adoption center on Amelia Island at 639 Airport Road, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034. We are open Tuesday - Thursday 11 am - 5 pm, Friday 11 am - 6 pm, and Saturday - Sunday 11 am - 4 pm. Showings stop 30 minutes before close.

We are a no kill rescue and adoption shelter on Amelia Island Florida. We provide Animal Control services for the City of Fernandina Beach. We have the only off-leash dog park on the Island and we also operate two resale stores.
