My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pauline has had quite a glow up and she is ready to find a home of her very own!
Pauline landed herself a lift off of the streets a few months back with a TCC trapper but her condition at the time was absolutely horrendous. Nothing but skin & bones.
We found out she had been living her life in a trashcan 😓 and clearly didn’t have a solid food source.
It didn’t take us long to realize that Pauline actually couldn’t go poop on her own. It either got stuck or leaked but she had minimal control over bowel movements. We had her seen by our vets and while her bloodwork showed her being anemic at the time, it was actually determined the cause of her lack of control was most likely muscle wasting due to such severe malnutrition. 💔 Can you imagine being so starved that you lose enough muscle to not even be able to take a proper poo?
So, for weeks, every single day, at TCC, under the advice of the vet who saw her, would give her subq fluids, extra moist food with miralax, & spend a good bit of time with coconut oil on her bum to help her move things along. Finallllllyyy we started noticing less leaked poo and more litter box use and slowly but surely she now has FULL control back!
Pauline is now thriving, a bit chunky 😂, and a completely healthy adult cat who is ready to move along to her forever. She is super sweet & tolerant of her human friends and overall an easy going lady!
We waited until we knew she was strong to send her to clinic and she is now spayed, UTD on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, & will be microchipped!
We were actually originally unsure if she was spayed, because she had what appeared to be a botched looking ear tip, but as it turns out she was *not* fixed and something had just taken a chunk of her ear on top of everything else she went through 😭
The only quirk we’ve noticed about her is that she does not like other cats and would do best as your one & only!
You can apply to adopt Pauline using the link below!
(Enjoy her transformation photos - her now versus when she was first taken in & the trashcan she called “home” 😔)
