Currently located at our Owensboro, KY location

Rosie is a sweet 7-year-old Black Mouth Cur who has captured the hearts of everyone at ITV. This gentle girl is great with dogs and kids, and while we’re not sure about cats, she’s such a soft soul that we’re hopeful she could adjust with the right introduction.

Rosie is housebroken, loves her stuffies and chew toys, and despite having some arthritis, she’s still full of love, tail wags, and cozy-cuddle energy. She just needs a warm home—and a warm heart.

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and spayed or neutered.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
