This sweet, wonderfully loving lab girl is Ruby. This doll was purchased as a puppy along with her sister by a family who after a year, was no longer able to keep them. The two of them were surrendered and eventually it was decided that it would be okay to place them separately. Her beloved sister has been adopted and now it’s sweet Miss Rubys turn!
Ruby is about a year and a half old and is a healthy happy girl. She is about 70 lbs and she has had all of her medical work completed. She is current on her vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, and she has been spayed and microchipped! She has a clean bill of health and is now ready to begin her next chapter!
In foster care this girl is thriving. She has blossomed and is doing wonderfully. She absolutely loves other dogs and has done wonderfully in play groups with many other dogs, both male and female. That said she will be great with or without other dogs in her adoptive home. Ruby does wonderfully in the car, she loves to take walks and hikes, she enjoys playing in the water and has had excellent manners in the house. She is ready to be someone’s very devoted companion. She’ll join you on every adventure you would like to take her on, and will also just enjoy snuggling up on the sofa and watching a movie. She has a medium activity level, happy to have her days relaxing at home, as well as her days of exploring with you. She is ready to be very devoted and give her owners lots of love, and hope to get lots of love in return!
She’d love parents who would like her to be their best friend and baby. She is a country girl and enjoys a balanced life with warmth and snuggles, as well as walks in nature and relaxing in the yard enjoying the breeze. Shes super intelligent and is seeking an owner committed to her for life.

We are all volunteers- so until our dreams come true and we find some amazing donors to give us a facility of our own, we don't have locations that you can visit. We hope to arrange events soon, and when we do, we hope you'll visit us there!

More about this rescue
Great Divide Animal Rescue (GDAR) is a 501(c)3 non profit organization based out of North Carolina. We are run entirely by volunteers who work tirelessly for the rescue, rehabilitation, and successful placement of the most needy of animals.
Our focus is to help animals of all species in need. We do so by providing services in both rescue/foster/placement of homeless pets, but we also partner with several animal control facilities.
Are you looking to help a great organization who saves animals? (primarily dogs but we have rescued even horses, pigs, donkeys, mules and kitties!) We would love to hear from you!
