If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We fostered Martok shortly before adopting him two years ago. We adopted him as a puppy and put in well over $4,000 in training for him. He is a lovely dog that needs a family that can cuddle and give him a good amount of playtime. He is medium energy, loves walks in our quiet suburban neighborhood and is always looking to his handlers for validation and play.
He was born May 1st 2023, and was adopted as a 12 week old Puppy at Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento.
Martok was raised around a house cat, and has no issues and shows no interest with even outdoor cats or his previous cat-roommate. Martok has been around other dogs in daycare/bath and for walks and shows little to no interest outside of saying -hello- with his tail wags. He knows a plethora of commands due to his training including: sit, place, heel, touch (nose), shake, and is trained to use a metal bell by the door to signal he needs to go outside by bopping it with his nose.
