My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Tucker! This handsome devil came to the shelter as a stray, but we're certain he's had a home before since he is so well-behaved. Poor, sweet Tucker is absolutely terrified by the noise and chaos of the shelter and spends most of his days sleeping soundly with his paws crossed on a giant pillow in the office.
Dogs like Tucker are special - they need extra time and patience to come out of their shell and build confidence - but they're also fiercely loyal to their people. Shy and quiet, Tucker is working his hardest to be brave, and we can see in his eyes that he wants to trust. He's just a gentle soul looking for a calm household with a devoted family that will cherish him and help him grow into his best self. Are you the one Tucker is waiting for? Come meet him today!

More about this rescue

Our goal is to eliminate the euthanasia of companion animals in Galveston County by promoting and providing resources, education, and programs to transform animal welfare in our communities.

What makes us different is we were created to not just help animals, but people too. We realize that animals and people are very much interconnected, and a big part of our organization is outreach.
