My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Sparkle. I am a sweet little girl that hasn’t had the best of luck with finding a home. I actually had a home that I loved, but I kept getting out of the “broken” fence. After being picked up a couple of times, my owner decided to let me find a new home. So I am putting my best paw forward and trying my best to find a stable home with a nice fenced in yard! I am a terrier mix that is about a year old. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. One small problem did show up on my health check up. It seems that I am heartworm positive, but I have already started my treatment and things are going great! I would love to have a foster home as I finish my treatment. I bet you would fall in love with me and want to make me a permanent member of your family!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
