Hi! I’m Orange Julius—just like the frosty orange drink, but with more fur, more fun, and way more zoomies.
Here’s my story: I started out as a puppy from a family member’s dog. Things were going great—until I grew... a little more than they expected. I’m not huge—about 50 pounds—but I’ve got 500 pounds’ worth of enthusiasm. My previous family realized they weren’t quite equipped for all my energy, so they planned to surrender me. But before that could happen, I slipped out on an adventure and was found as a stray. When they came to reclaim me, they said, “Actually, we were already planning to surrender him,” and here I am at LHS, ready for that next chapter.
You know that phrase “bull in a china shop”? That’s me—except the china shop is your living room. I’m sweet and goofy, but sometimes my excitement gets the best of me. I might knock over a lamp or a small human, so I’d do best in a home with older, dog-savvy kids who can handle my zest.
As for other pets, I’ve lived with a cat before and did just fine once we sorted out the differences in our love languages. I’d likely do well with dog-savvy cats and other dogs after a proper introduction—especially if they don’t mind my enthusiastic approach to friendship.
What do I bring to the table? Nonstop entertainment. Big personality. Big heart. Every day with me is like a refreshing blast of citrus-tinged joy and silliness.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt an animal. A valid ID is required.
If you own your own home, please provide proof of home-ownership; a mortgage receipt, tax bill, water bill or deed will suffice.
If you rent, please bring your lease which states the type of pet you are interested in and that it is accepted or the name and phone of your landlord so we can verify the pet is allowed. Inquire with your landlord about any size or breed restrictions.
Please check with your home owner’s insurance company or landlord to find out if they have any restrictions on the breed(s) of dog they cover. Common breeds that may not be covered include: Pit Bulls, Doberman Pinschers, Rottweilers and German Shepherds.
For the health and safety of the pet you are interested in adopting and your existing pets, we ask that you provide proof of current vaccinations and spay/neuter status for pets in your home. (We may be able to call your veterinarian if you do not have a copy available.)
A new pet is a family decision and we ask that all members of your family meet the pet and agree on the suitability for your household.
If you already have a dog(s) in your home please bring the dog(s) with you to meet the dog you are considering to see if they are compatible.
