Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bertie is an affectionate, well-trained sweetheart who truly just wants love and human connection. She’ll gently paw at you and scoot closer for pets, making it impossible not to fall for her charm. She loves long walks and outdoor time, but is equally happy settling easily on her bed, a rug, or the sofa once she’s had her exercise.
Bertie is a very social pup who loves learning new commands and will happily work for treats. She has excellent manners—she doesn’t dart out the door and patiently waits for permission before going outside. She responds reliably to her name, comes right back when called, and waits for a cue before eating. When her food is being prepared, she does the cutest sit with little hops that perfectly capture her joyful personality.
Bertie knows several commands, including sit, paw, down, and name recall—and she’s smart enough that she’s likely picked up even more. Her foster family adored her and truly believes she would be an amazing dog in any home. She would especially thrive with an adventurous or outdoorsy person who enjoys daily walks and spending time outside. Overall, Bertie is a loving, well-mannered, and joyful companion who will make her future family very lucky. If you`d like to meet her, visit her at the shelter in Madison today!
