Duke is one of those dogs who makes friends everywhere he goes. He loves everyone he meets and greets people with an easygoing, friendly attitude. Despite his powerful size, he’s a polite guy with nice leash manners and calm behavior in the car, which makes outings and road trips a breeze. At home, Duke is crate trained and does well in an Impact crate, but gets a whole room to himself because he has been spoiled just the right anount 😉 We’re not sure how he does in a wire crate, but he settles nicely in the setup he knows. Structure is key and he does best when expectations are clear. Because of his size and strength, Duke is looking for a home with no other pets and either older kids or no kids at all. He needs an adopter with Dogo Argentino experience, one who understands the breed’s strength, drive, and need for consistent handling. He is not a pit bull, but he is also not a labrador and punishing him for his breed traits as he has been in the past will do more harm than good. We are looking to set Duke up for long-term success.
