Starsky and Hutch are approximately 8-9 year old male red foot tortoises. They are currently living together and have been for their entire lives. Starsky is the smaller of the two tortoises and tends to follow Hutch around their pen. We would love if they are able to be adopted out together as they have lived with each other their entire lives. They both are super social and will walk right up to you when they sees you. Both boys are super gentle and will happily take food from your hands. Starsky and Hutch are very curious and will smell everything new they encounter on their walks around the house. Both of these gentlemen do well with gentle pets across the shell and their head, and they have no issue being picked up and moved around. Their foster home has a resident dog who has been near them, and they do not seem to mind her, however, we do not encourage any direct interactions. We also feel that they would do well in a home with children of all ages. Starsky and Hutch have been with the rescue since October 29 and they are ready to go to their forever home!

Interview
We will reach out and ensure you have the proper set up for the animal so both you and the pet are set up for success.

Sign Adoption Contract
At the time you sign the contract, the adoption fee is due.

Take the Pet Home

All adopters submit an inquiry after finding a pet they are interested in. We will then go through any inquiries and ensure the animal will be going to a suitable home (photo proof of enclosure set up is required). From there, we will be in touch about setting up a time for potential adopters to meet the animal. Adopters will then sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and take the pet home.
