Tuxie is a special, loving cat who’s overcome a heartbreaking past. Abandoned by a former neighbor in Orlando, FL, he found his way to us seeking food and shelter. Soon after we took him in, we discovered he had preexisting bladder issues that led to an emergency surgery for a blockage; he had to be resuscitated during the procedure due to anesthesia intolerance but miraculously pulled through thanks to a wonderful vet team and his incredible will to live.
Now healthy and thriving on a special urinary diet, Tuxie has been issue-free for over a year, even after a cross-country move. He’s affectionate, playful(he adores string and catnip), and loves to snuggle once he trusts you. Though still cautious around men and brooms, he’s made huge strides in learning that people can be good.
We really wish we could keep him, but we cannot provide the home he needs to shine. I truly believe he would flourish and be an amazing pet for an owner that is willing to take on his slightly complex needs
