Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, my name is Ginger, but I’ve always thought that was a weird way to spell “perfect” and “queen”. Sometimes my foster calls me “THE Diva Dog”. Anyways, I am a 10 year old, 17lbs corgi/beagle mix who was rescued from death row. When I was trapped in the shelter awaiting doom, the evaluators said I was fearful and too scared to even make eye contact. But when I was rescued by RCHS, I busted out of my shell like a flower in full bloom.
Don’t let my age fool you — it’s rude to ask a lady her age, anyways. I am full of excitement, love & all things wonderful, with many adventures ahead of me. I have a personality as big as the stars and a newfound love for life. Quite frankly, my foster mom has told me it’s “my world”, and “everyone else just exists in it”—she’s a smart lady.
I am such a special girl who truly just loves to be by her people. I’ve been told I’m the perfect house pet, since I’ve never had an accident in the house, even when adjusting to my foster house. I sleep through the night, as long as I get to be the little spoon (a must), and prefer late mornings. I am generally a quiet gal, but do have the cutest sound when looking for attention — or when I’m placed in the “crate of despair”, as I’ve coined it.
I currently have a foster brother who’s a young puppy, and although I do fine with him, I think I’d prefer a home where I can be the center of attention (but I do enjoy playing with my neighbor dogs in the back yard!). I also prefer older children who are dog savvy & can be respectful of my space.
I am so excited to meet my future forever family, and share all my love. If you think you’re ready for a new, perfect child who you’re not ashamed of putting on the Christmas card, I’m your gal, let’s talk soon.
Here’s a few household styles I think would fit me perfectly:
D.I.N.K/S.I.N.K homes with extra money to spend on adventures (with ME of course)
An empire searching for a new ruling queen
Empty nesters who miss their children
Retirees who have lots time on their hands (I’ll fill it with snuggles)
A couple whose in-laws won’t stop asking when a baby is coming
A Pageant-Princess burnout looking for a new purpose in life.
