Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pat arrived to our rescue a few months ago after his owner passed away. When he arrived, he was in pretty rough shape. He had trouble walking and his skin wasn’t in great shape. Pat’s mobility has definitely improved with us! We believe Pat is around 12 years old and he weighs 21 lbs.

Pat has a very long body and VERY tiny legs so he may be a dachshund mix. He also resembles a caterpillar. Pat has been an angel with every dog he meets and he appreciates attention from people. Food is Pat’s favorite thing and he will bark when he is hungry (which is often). But, we’re trying to keep Pat slim to help with his mobility.

Pat may also be blind so he should be kept away from stairs and high couches/beds.

We think Pat may be having some cognitive issues as sometimes he seems to be in his own faraway land. But, overall he’s a loving and easy dog. Pat just had a dental that will greatly improve his quality of life. He had 13 infected teeth removed.

Pat is not neutered and due to his possible cognitive issues we did not want to put him under anesthesia again. He’s up to date on vaccines and recently had full bloodwork. Pat also has a grade 3 heart murmur.
