Hello hello, my name is Minako, and I can’t wait to meet you! I was named after the Japanese word for “beautiful child”, due to my gorgeous eyes. In addition to my good looks, I have a stunning personality! I am sweet, goofy, and playful. I love to cuddle up close to your chest, or lay in your lap and gaze into your eyes. If you cradle your arms just right, I will stretch out on my back and fall asleep with my mouth open, treating you to my light little snores!
I’m bonded with a younger kitten, Sybil - she’s my sister from another mister! When her momma left, I stepped in to take care of her, even though I’m just a kitten myself! We had a tough beginning - we were part of an outdoor cat colony. Unfortunately they picked on us too much, so a kind human took us in. We are really enjoying the good life indoors. We love chasing wand toys and batting jingle balls all around the floor, napping in warm beds, and observing wildlife out of the windows.
Can you be a safe landing spot for us, where we can fulfill our dreams of being a cherished indoor kitties? We can’t wait to meet our new human(s)! XOXO, Minako & Sybil.
Minako was found as a stray.

If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
