My name is King!

King was found abandoned in Mower County in October, 2025.  The person who did the drop was seen slowing down in a van and leaving King on the road--sad because this cat was in very poor physical shape.  Luckily the act was seen by someone and she called MCHS and we had her take King to the Austin Vet Clinic where he received emergency care.  King was essentially starving to death.  Food and fluids had to be introduced slowly to allow his body to work again.  With their care, King survived.  He was also treated for a severe upper respiratory infection.  Thanks to great vet care and persistent volunteers, King has fully recovered!  We are looking for an indoor only home for this very sweet guy who is about 2 years of age.  He is now neutered and current on shots and has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV.  If you are interested and over 21 years old, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit out online application.  We will review and get in touch.  A cat carrier is required at the time of adoption.
