I have had Cookie for almost 4 years and I adopted her from an agency in Atlanta, Georgia. She was previously with a family who experienced her nipping and eventually biting the teenager who continuously got in her face and taunted her. She has also had an episode of resource guarding when someone put their hand in her food bowl.
Since I have had Cookie, I have not experienced any signs of aggression or disloyalty. She is such a wonderful companion and is the most loving, cuddly, warm couch potato that I know. Cookie loves long walks and car rides. She is very motivated by treats and although I haven't allowed her to socialize much with other dogs due to slight reactivity, I feel that with proper training and care, she will be excellent at coexisting with other dogs.
I am pregnant and my husband and I have decided that rehoming her would be the best option with our first child on the horizon. I only want someone who will provide the best love, care and attention that I know I could!
