My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🖤🤍 Meet Lucy — The Tuxedo Queen With a Heart of Gold 🤍🖤

Hi friends… my name is Lucy, and I’m a gentle little mama who’s finally ready for my turn to be loved. 💕

I was found keeping my babies safe under a porch, doing everything I could to protect them. Now that my kittens are weaned and safe, I’m hoping someone out there has room in their heart for a tiny, graceful girl like me.

✨ What makes me special?
• I’m calm, polite, and incredibly sweet
• I have the prettiest whiskers and bright, expressive eyes
• I love soft pets, cozy blankets, and quiet moments
• I’m only 7 pounds — a dainty little lady
• I warm up quickly and enjoy gentle company

I’ve spent my whole life being a caretaker… now I’m ready for someone who will take care of me, too. ❤️

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who brings peace and sweetness wherever she goes, I’d be honored to meet you.

More about this shelter

A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
