This handsome boy might start off a little shy, but he warms up quickly and shows his true colors. He's a
bundle of endless energy! Orio is an acrobat at heart and loves nothing more than chasing a wand toy with
impressive flips and leaps. He’ll need a home where playtime is a priority because this guy thrives on
activity.

Orio is also a talker - he’ll happily let you know what’s on his mind. And when it comes to food? He’s a total
foodie who never misses a meal! After he’s had his fun and filled his belly, Orio turns into a sweet lap cat,
curling up for snuggles once he’s finally tired out.

He’s deeply bonded with his sister, Cookie, who balances his lively personality with her gentle nature. Orio doesn’t like to be far from her, so they’re looking for a home together where they can share their love and adventures.

1.
Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
