Meet Shelby! This gorgeous lady was transferred in from another local shelter after being found as a stray. She appears to have had some basic training and knows how to sit, lay down and more on cue! She is a young adult and is a sturdy 59 pounds. She is affectionate and likes to lean on people, but she also has a fun, playful side. Shelby will make her new lucky family extremely happy - come and meet her today!

We have a simple adoption application and approval process. Our adoption fees vary by animal, but generally include neutering, age appropriate vaccinations, behavior and health assessments, and health insurance. In addition, all adopters have free access to our Adopter Support program for assistance with health or behavior issues that may arise.

Michigan Humane is the oldest and largest animal welfare organization in Michigan, taking in approximately 35,000 animals per year.
