My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name, age, breed: Diesel, 3yrs, Boxer mix

Likes: Attention, treats, going for walks

Dislikes: Dogs, not getting proper exercise

What would be the ideal home? A home with an experienced owner is recommended due to his dog reactivity. An owner that can continue with obedience training.

Good with other cats? No

Good with dogs? No

Good with children? No children under 12 years is recommended due to energy and being nervous at first

Temperament: Sweet, friendly, active

Motivators? Squeaky toys!

Any commands? Sit

House trained? Unknown

Crate trained? Unknown

How long will it take to settle into a new environment? 3-3-3 rule: First 3 days - Your dog may be overwhelmed and may hide, have a lack of appetite, or test boundaries. Give them space and time to adjust in a quiet room with their bed, food, water, and toys. 3 weeks - Your dog may start to settle in and their personality will emerge. You can expect behavior issues to arise, so set boundaries and expectations with positive reinforcement training. 3 months - Your dog should be comfortable and acclimated to your home. They should know their routine and expect meals and enrichment at specific times.

Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? Nervous during vet exams.

Medical: Hind declaws, Dental Malocclusion (no treatment required)
