My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, my name is Apricot, and boy do I have a story to tell. My previous owner contacted the rescue after purchasing me on Facebook Marketplace. After only having me about 2 weeks I injured myself and was dragging my back legs. The owners said they had no money to have me seen by a vet which is why they reached out to the rescue. They also said they had no clue how I had injured myself.

Thankfully, one of the rescues fosters dropped everything and went to pick me up. I was then seen by the rescues exotic vets and luckily nothing was broken. After some much needed cage rest and medicine to help with pain and inflammation I have made an almost full recovery. I have the very slightest limp at times but I was finally able to be spayed.

After all that I have been through I still love life and people. I have excellent litterbox habits and enjoy any and all attention you are willing to give. I am a big fan of doing huge binkies and for those who do not know that means I zoom really fast and jump in the air. All signs I am a happy bun.

I am eating a proper diet of Oxbow Adult Rabbit Pellets, lots of orchard hay because my foster mom is highly allergic to timothy and a big bowl of fresh water that is changed daily. I also love my daily salads of romaine, parsley, carrot tops and even some pieces of banana, apple and blueberries. ( In moderation of course)

Would you consider opening your heart and home to a sweet girl like me?

More about this rescue

After fostering for over 20 years I decided it was time to open my own rescue. Bunnies are intelligent caring sensitive creatures who blossom in the right environment. They have much more spunk and personality than most people realize . You will be a convert once you have the chance to experience first hand how wonderful a compainon they can be.
